Performance Upgrades

The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler JL and Jeep® Wrangler JK both share an explosive new Pentastar V6 engine that creates 285 horsepower, with the new Jeep® Wrangler JL coming with additional engine options for your consideration. These include a new 2.4-liter turbocharged I4 engine that generates 295 pound-feet, with an EcoDiesel powertrain expected sometime next year.


The 2018 Jeep® Wrangler JL base engine now comes with engine stop-start engine technology for better efficiency when stopped at the light, along with improved crawl ratios and an upgrade to the standard six-speed manual transmission.
